Here are the highlights from our main committee meeting this week.
Liveable Neighbourhoods Consultation
The Council is consulting further on its Liveable Neighbourhood Strategy and has been holding webinars and outdoor meetings on this – the final one is on 14 December from 7 to 8.30p.m. and registration is required. Within Widcombe the area chosen for the introduction of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods is Church Street/Prior Park Road and near to us are proposals for Entry Hill. The consultation is open until 19th December and the link is: Introduction and policy background | Bath and North East Somerset Council (bathnes.gov.uk) We would encourage you to respond individually. Other aspects of the Liveable Neighbourhood Strategy are Parking Control including the expansion of Residents Parking Areas and the provision for Electric Vehicle Charging.
On a related matter, after many years of campaigning, works have been taking place to implement the new Residents Parking Zone in Lyncombe Vale, Perrymead and Greenway.
Pass on a Poem –Tuesday 14th December has been cancelled. Anyone who has bought a ticket will receive a full refund.
