2024 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – WIDCOMBE SOCIAL CLUB – WEDNESDAY 1 MAY – 7.30pm
Advance notice of the Annual General Meeting of Widcombe Association on Wednesday 1 May. Further details to follow but we will be pleased to welcome Dan Merrett , the manager of the Bathscape Project who will give us an overview on the work it undertakes and what it hopes to achieve in the future. The Bathscape Project was established in 2018 to promote better management of the natural landscape surrounding Bath. This promises to be a most interesting presentation on an important aspect affecting the City.
GO GREEN WIDCOMBE – THERMAL IMAGING
The thermal imaging camera has been used by 18 households this winter. One resident used it to check their cavity wall insulation which revealed spaces in the insulation. This was corrected by the installer which will improve the energy efficiency of the property. A good reason to take advantage of this. If you are interested in borrowing it please contact Tim Williamson via ggwidcombe@gmail.com
LISTED BUILDING OWNERS
Bath and West Community Energy is leading the Green Heritage Homes project in partnership with B&NES Council and the Bath Preservation Trust. As part of this project they are looking for short video studies where Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Panels have been installed in or on Listed Buildings. The videos will just be of the technologies, showing how they look in situ with commentary on the Listed Building process. Homeowners can choose whether or not to give a video testimonial themselves . Filming is likely to take place during the weeks commencing 18 March and 25 March.
If you live in a Listed Building and have installed either of these technologies and would be willing to consider a video showcasing your project please contact sara.grimes@bwce.coop.
Best wishes
