Observations and objections should be lodged by 23rd November.
APPEAL – DEFIBRILLATOR OUTSIDE WIDCOMBE BAPTIST CHURCH
The public defibrillator has been removed from its home at the Baptist Church. It is understood that this was about a year ago and for a legitimate reason, but it has not been returned.
A replacement will cost around £1000 and although local councillors and the Widcombe Association have agreed to make contributions there is still a funding shortfall and we are seeking to raise £500 through donations. Can you help by making a donation – please see below.
NB: it is intended to fit a tracker onto the new defibrillator so that in future it can be traced if removed.

WIDCOMBE MAGAZINE WINTER 2023
The Winter edition of the magazine is now available. If you previously received a copy by post you can now collect one from Prior Park Garden Centre or various outlets in Widcombe Parade.
BATH RECREATION GROUND: PLANNING APPLICATION BY BATH RUGBY
Bath Rugby has submitted the long-awaited application to redevelop their ground at the Rec. The deadline for comments on the application has passed but the WA committee has discussed the plans and agreed to support the submission made by the Federation of Bath Resident’s Associations which can be seen here:

GARDEN CLUB EVENTS
The first two Garden Club talks for this Autumn have had to be cancelled due to lack of interest. On both occasions there have been too few bookings to make the events viable. Beverley Wallis went to great lengths to prepare a programme for the winter that extends well into 2024. The next event is a talk by John Tucker on 17 January 2024, details to be announced. It is hoped that we can maintain sufficient support to continue with this programme.
CONSULTATION ON LOCATION OF POLLING STATIONS
The council is consulting residents on the location of polling stations to make sure they are accessible and suggestions for improvements are invited. A list of the proposed polling stations can be found on the council website and at the Guildhall.
Comments can be sent by email to: elections @bathnes.gov.uk or by post to Electoral Services, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Guildhall, High Street, Bath BA1 5AW. The closing date for comments is Monday 20 November.
Best wishes
Mike Wrigley, Chairman, and the main WA committee
