AGEING WELL PROGRAMME
Age UK, Bath and North East Somerset Council and St John’s Foundation have announced the launch of the Ageing Well Programme, a pioneering initiative aimed at transforming Bath and North East Somerset into an inclusive, supportive and accessible environment where everyone can age well. The Widcombe Association has agreed to help in the promotion of this initiative within Widcombe.
The approach is guided by the Age-Friendly Framework developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO), which is designed to foster healthy and active ageing. There are four phases to this Age-Friendly initiative.
To commence the first phase, Age UK is conducting the Ageing Well Community Survey. They are seeking insights and experiences that are crucial in helping to shape a community that meets the needs of its people.
• If you are 55 or older you are invited to complete the survey by clicking on the link below
• If you are not in this age group you can share this with someone who is.
The survey closes on 31 July 2024.
