Rossiter Road – There is no progress to report as the Steering Group meeting scheduled for August 13 th was cancelled at very short notice. It is hoped that a suitable, alternative date can be arranged as soon as possible.
Halfpenny Bridge – Kelvin Packer of Highways is positive about the plan to illuminate the Bridge. A meeting will take place shortly to develop the design and to set about obtaining planning permission.
Vent from restaurants in Brunel Plaza – One of the vents from behind the new restaurants in Brunel Plaza is emitting black smoke, which drifts over towards St Mark’s Road and surroundings. W.A. will be taking action to try to remedy this.
Widcombe Association Autumn Meeting – Our Autumn Meeting will take place on Thursday October 24 th at 7.30pm at Widcombe Junior School. After a brief meeting, our speaker will be Peter Rignall, the Manager of Bath Spa Station. As usual we will be serving wine and nibbles after the meeting to give people an opportunity to talk to the committee and each other. We hope that you, or another representative of your group, will be able to attend and that you will encourage others to come along too.
Widcombe Association Committee – Due to the resignation of Alan Langton, who has returned to full time employment, and the imminent resignation of Andrew Gordon-Duff, who has served on the committee for the past five years, we are seeking to recruit more committee members. We are particularly interested in finding someone with an interest in branding, marketing and communications.
