Sorry to send another missive so soon after the last, but there is quite a lot going on this winter.
General Election Hustings.
Our hustings, jointly with Bear Flat Residents’ Association, has engendered a lot of interest. Next Wednesday (4th December) at Widcombe Social Club. Doors open at 7.00 pm. All members of both associations, and their households, are invited. It’s free but you do need to register. As I type this there are just 13 places left. Need I say more? Here is the link.

Energy Efficient Widcombe
It has never been more important to conserve energy. A thermal imaging camera shows exactly where a home is leaking warmth. Energy Efficient Widcombe are keen to help and the first 10 applicants can have such assistance for free. Thereafter £10 per house. Details on the attached flyer.

Pass on a Poem
Tuesday 10th December from 7.30 pm at St Thomas a Becket Church. Always a lovely event. I’ve chosen my poem and it’s a bit … well you need to come to find out.
Council Budget Sessions
The Council are holding two public events, where their Cabinet will be setting out priorities and financial plans, discussing climate emergency, social housing, transport and many other issues of concern locally including the council’s budget. These are public events open to all, on:
Tuesday 17th December 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Guildhall here in Bath;
and on
Thursday 19th December 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm at Community Space, 5 Temple Street Keynsham BS31 1HA
Key meetings shaping the future direction of the Council and its expenditure on behalf of us all.
