GO GREEN WIDCOMBE
Thermal Imaging Camera
This is the perfect time of year to think about borrowing Go Green Widcombe’s Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC). This will show where there are draughts and cold spots in your home. If you do use it and, as a result, carry out retrofit work, it’s a good idea to borrow it again (later this winter, or next winter) to check that the retrofit done was actually beneficial. Go Green Widcombe would welcome such feedback to show how the TIC can help local households. If you have any queries, or would like to borrow the camera, please contact Go Green Widcombe at: ggwidcombe@gmail.com.
BWCE Listed Building Energy Efficiency Videos etc
Go Green Widcombe has links with BWCE (Bath & West Community Energy) who have produced 8 short videos on Listed Building Energy Efficiency measures that can be taken. The videos are less than 10 minutes long and feature a Conservation Officer from Bath & North East Somerset, as well as Heritage and Energy Experts, discussing case studies of successful interventions.
There are also two simple factsheets on what measures need consent and what to consider in an application. These, and the videos, can be accessed here:

GARDEN CLUB – TUESDAY 28 JANUARY
The first event of 2025 will be a zoom talk from John Tucker. Full details will be available later but you may like to note this is your diaries.
