The Midsummer Party on the 1st July was a great success
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our event. I hope you had a great day.
Also thank you to everyone who made it possible:
- our main sponsors: Paragon School / Prior Park College, Mayden, Grant Associates, BMT and Wessex Water
- the fabulous Widcombe Traders who provided us with food, drink and things to buy and do
- all the musicians and entertainers who came from near and far to perform for us
- all our volunteers who operated the gates, moved furniture and rubbish, put up the bunting, created art, were stewards, made teas or leant us facilities (especially Baptist Church, WSC, St Matts, Natural Theatre Company)
- and to the special few and the team with Rev Tim from St Matts who helped with the clearing up – everyones least favourite job
- anyone I have inadvertently missed off…..
- and finally to the organising committee lead by Hilary Furlonger who have gone well beyond the call of duty just to make this amazing community-run happen
More news and pictures will follow. These are my own poor offerings apart from the aerial view (thanks to Rob Morley)
Official welcome by Wera Hobhouse, MP for Bath, The Right Worshipful The Mayor of Bath Councillor Patrick Anketell-Jones and Madame Mayoress Deirdre Anketell-Jones.
