This Walk will start from Ferry Lane, by the river.

History Research Group: Margaret Burrows will continue the story of Claverton Street from the Old Bridge to Spring Gardens Road. Once packed with houses and shops it is still undergoing change.
Thursday 18 June 7.00 – A History Walk with Widcombe Association
Meeting at the beginning of Church Street, up Church Lane to Prior Park Garden gate and returning via The Dell to finish at St Thomas à Becket Church for wine etc. £5.00
Thursday 16 July 7.00 – A History Walk around Bathwick

Sunday afternoon 13 September – Widcombe and Lyncombe Chapel Trail.
Collect a map from any of the participating Chapels or Churches.

Guest speaker Stuart Burroughs, Curator of the Bath at Work Museum, once a Real Tennis court. Stuart will also talk about the Real Tennis court in Widcombe in the 18th century.

Further research on ‘Dirt, floods, disease and bad sanitation’ and what was done to combat problems. Mostly derived from public reports.
Thursday 3 December 7.30 – Widcombe Baptist Church Lower Hall {Christmas Meeting}
Reminiscences of Bath and the Widcombe area, interesting finds and pictures.
Followed by wine and mince pies etc.
Meetings in the Main Hall £3 including tea & biscuits. Meetings of the Research Group in the Lower Hall £1.50 incl, tea & biscuits
