Bath Songwriters meet at the Ram
After the 2011 “Song for Bath” competition, several of the contestants got together and formed the Bath Songwriters Group They meet around the middle of each month at The Ram, Widcombe, to share songs and discuss songwriting over a drink. The group offers an opportunity for any songwriter of any experience to try out ideas or showcase finished songs in a friendly, supportive setting and to receive constructive comments and advice. Some people accompany themselves on an instrument, some play recorded versions of their songs, while others choose to sing a capella. There are members who regularly perform in public as well as those who rarely or never perform. Indeed, some don’t play an instrument at all.
It doesn’t matter how well you play, what is important is the song. Everyone has a skill or an opinion and they help each other out. If you have ever written a song, or simply have an idea for a song, why not turn up at The Ram and sing it?
The February 2015 meeting is on Wednesday 18th at 8pm
